The Next Chapter Bookstore is owned and operated by Our Neighbor, Inc. a 501c3 organization dedicated to assist and inspire individuals with disabilities reach their maximum level of independence. Our Neighbor, Inc. allows for our residents to live in typical residential neighborhoods in typical house mate situations. All of the residents admitted to the ONI program are expected and encouraged to have the desire and the ability to increase their level of independence, whether that be from family members or social services. ONI addresses the barriers to self-sufficiency by modeling a life style of fiscal and emotional responsibility. We teach our residents life skills that include: budgeting, meal planning and preparation, value shopping, personal hygiene, property maintenance and upkeep, community involvement as well as encouraging them to search for employment opportunities and or participate in volunteerism.

The Next Chapter Bookstore is nestled in the heart of Gainsville on the Square within the Main Street Market. You will find fellow market occupant CORK IT advertised on the windows.
